A 1950s mixed media on board painting by American artist Barbara Rogers Houseworth (1925-2015). This abstract portrait painting depicts a figure surrounded by a pale green whose skin consists of darkened yellow, green, blue, and red. The painting is displayed in a black wooden frame.

Barbara Rogers Houseworth was an American artist whose work was exhibited between 1946 and 1954. She studied art at Indiana University and exhibited her work at the Indiana Artists Exhibitions at the John Herron School Art Museum. After moving to Illinois her work was made expressly for herself and stored in a trunk in her studio.
