A 1961 watercolor and ink painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract work is predominantly pink and red and features an array of layered geometric shapes. Signed and dated to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a silver tone wooden frame and a cream mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
