A 1960s ink drawing by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This drawing depicts Julius Caesar in the nude, wielding a sword with a piece of cloth draped over his shoulder and held with a fibula at the top. The drawing is signed and titled to the lower left corner and is displayed in a black frame and in a grey mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.

Stray yellow color to left edge. Other stray smudges present. Minor wear to frame.
