This drawing depicts Julius Caesar in the nude, wielding a sword with a piece of cloth draped over his shoulder and held with a fibula at the top. The drawing is signed and titled to the lower left corner and is displayed in a black frame and in a grey mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
