A 1991 lithograph by the American artist Steven Sorman (born 1948). Titled For Once, this print was printed by the Tamarind Institute and depicts an abstract black composition with dynamic line work. Titled, numbered 13/20, dated, and signed along the bottom edge, the work is displayed in a black frame and white mat.
Steven Sorman earned his BFA from the University of Minnesota in 1971. He has been given accolades including the Bush Foundation Artist's Fellowship, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Merit World Print III Award, the Rockefeller Foundation American Center Artist in Residence in Paris, and the 2nd Bhrat Bhavan International Biennial of Prints Merit Award. Sorman's work has been displayed at numerous museums including The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
