Harry Hilson Signed 1984 “B. Bell Photo” Mixed Media Drawing

A 1984 mixed media drawing by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled B Bell Photo, this vibrant abstract drawing depicts the head of a female figure to the lower left surrounded by colorful biomorphic shapes and designs. Signed, titled, and dated to the lower right, the drawing is displayed in a black frame and a white mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
