Harry Hilson Signed Acrylic on Paper Abstract Landscape Painting

A 1980s acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed "hilson" to the lower left corner, this abstract landscape painting depicts a bright mountainous landscape in purple, red, green, and blue. The painting is displayed in a white mat and a black frame.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
