A limited edition embossed print by American artist Martin Barooshian (1929-2022). This piece features the silhouette of a female figure posing with her hands on her hips in front of an abstract pattern. Displayed in a black frame against a cream mat, this piece is signed and numbered 6/30 to the lower edge.
Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Barooshian studied art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as well as receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education from Tufts University and a Master's degree in Art History from Boston University. He also studied at Atelier 17 in Paris under Stanley William Hayter. Barooshian taught at the Pratt Institute and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His works are in the collections of the Library of Congress, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York's Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
