A 1971 drawing on board by the American artist Walter Louis Jones (1943-2020). Titled Wind Toy Study, two perspectives of a toy figure are illustrated in graphite and white paint against a yellow-brown background in this drawing. Unframed, the drawing is signed to the lower right and has a gallery tag verso.
W. Louis Jones received a BS from Eastern Carolina University in 1965 and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1967. Jones was a successful artist, receiving a New York State Council on the Arts Grant in 1973, exhibiting at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1986, and teaching at numerous universities.
