A studio pottery vessel in two parts  by the American artist Barry Unitas Barnes. This vessel exhibits sculptural patterns with a brown clay background and light white, orange, and green shapes. It comes in two pieces and is hour-glass shaped and is marked with Barnes's chopmark near the top of the lower piece.

Barry Unitas Barnes received his BFA in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1990 and his MFA in Ceramics from Arizona State University in 1994. Today, he is an Assistant Professor of Art at Franklin College, and teaches Ceramics, 3D Foundations, and Art History. Previously, he has taught art at the University of Indianapolis, Arizona State University, the Indianapolis Art Center, and his own private studio in Beech Grove, Indiana.

9.75” x 21.5” x 9.5” (assembled); 9.75” x 10” x 9.5” (top); 7.75” x 11.5” x 7.5” (bottom).

Scratches present. Missing lid to the bottom piece.
