A glass sculpture designed by the Swedish glass artist and designer Bertil Vallien (born 1938) for Kosta Boda. Titled Pegasus, this piece is from Vallien's Viewpoints series and depicts a horse with a red flying man over it. Marked with a Kosta Boda sticker near the lower edge, the piece is marked "Kosta Boda B. Vallien 99515” to the underside.
Bertil Vallien is a highly respected glass artist and designer. In the 1950s, he studied under Stig Lindberg at the art school Konstfack in Stockholm. Best known for his work at Kosta Boda, Vallien is celebrated for sand casted sculptures. Many of these sculptures have the repeated motif faces.
