A 1960s Bartok Series oil on canvas painting titled Chicago by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract painting features an array of shapes in predominately red, black, and gray on a white ground. The framed painting is signed "Hilson" to the left side near the middle. The painting is displayed in a black wooden frame.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.

Craquelure present. Some chips to the paint. Some discoloration present to the paint. Scuffs and scratches to the frame. Other age appropriate wear present. There are some tears to the unpainted canvas on the edges that are covered by the frame.
