Composed of gouache, graphite, and colored pencil on paper, distinct geometric and biomorphic shapes are illustrated in vibrant silver, pink, orange, green, blue, black, and purple over a gray ground in this abstract work. The painting is signed and dated “Hilson 81” to the lower right corner.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
