Peter Gee "Harvard Target #2" Abstract Op Art Serigraph Print


An Op Art serigraph print on paper titled Harvard Target #2 by British-born artist, designer and developer Peter Gee (1932-2005). This print is comprised of matte and foil shapes on a silver ground. Four small matte circles in Day Glo inks overlay larger neutral and metallic foil circles. A screen printed pink-orange square rests between the circles and the silver tone foil ground.

Harvard University commissioned Gee to design this series of prints for their color theory workshop taught at Harvard by Peter in the 1960s.

Condition notes:

Overall age appropriate scratches, scuffs and marks throughout the work. Some peeling of the silver foil at the corners. Some bends/creases to the page. Toning to the paper verso.
