George Nelson 1950s Herman Miller Black Slat Bench


A 1950s slat bench designed by American designer George Nelson (1908-1986) for Herman Miller. The three-section finger-jointed slat bench features a black wood finish and rests upon matching ebonized wood legs. The original Herman Miller sticker is affixed to the underside of the bench and dates the bench to being made between 1951 and 1956.

Condition notes:

Some scuffs and scratches to wood. Minor wear to black finish. 4 inch scratch near one corner of bench.
