A 1961 watercolor painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract work depicts an array of biomorphic shapes arranged in a dense formation and painted in orange and black. Signed and dated to the lower left, the painting is displayed in a wooden frame and a cream mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
