Harry Hilson Signed 1960s Abstract Mixed Media Painting


A 1960s mixed media painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Painted in watercolor, gouache, and ink, this abstract work features a vertical composition filled with biomorphic shapes divided by horizontal lines. Signed to the lower right, the painting is displayed in a green and gold tone wooden frame and a cream mat.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
