Harry Hilson Signed 1961 Abstract Ink Drawing


A 1961 abstract ink drawing by American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This work is comprised of black ink repeated designs. The drawing is signed and dated "hilson 61" to the lower left and is displayed in a metal frame and a white mat. 

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.

Scratches and scuffs to the frame. Some stray ink smudges present. Minor toning to the paper.
