Harry Hilson Signed 1962 Abstract Watercolor Painting


An abstract watercolor painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Signed “hilson 62” to the lower left, this work features an abstract assortment of geometric shapes in shades of brown and yellow. This piece is matted with white and framed in a red wooden frame.

Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
