A 1963 watercolor painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This watercolor painting consists of an abstract line drawing in blue, red, and black against an off-white background. A black square with a loose nest of brushstrokes in its center resides near the center with another square in the upper left corner. These shapes are accompanied by three red strokes cascading down the right side of the composition with one blue line bellow the largest square near the center. The piece is signed and dated to the lower right and is displayed in a black frame and a white mat.

Harry Hilson was an American artist active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
