A 1980 acrylic and canvas collage on canvas by the American artist John Zohe Thomas (1935-2021). Title Grid, this works is composed of square pieces of textured canvas that are arranged in a rectangle and painted with crisscrossing white and light blue. The collaged square pieces are surrounded by a thin border of bright yellow and a large border of white. Signed and dated to the lower right, the painting is titled to the verso and displayed in a yellow wooden frame.

58.5” x 67” x 1.75” (frame); 58” x 66.25” (canvas).

Condition notes:

Some discoloration to painting. Wear to the edges of the painting, including some chips/rubbing off of the paint. Craquelure present. Scratches and wear to frame. Other age appropriate wear.
