Laurie Zagon Signed 1989 Oil on Canvas Abstract Painting

A 1989 oil on canvas painting by the American artist Laurie Zagon. This abstract work is filled with soft ripples of pale pink, blue, and green. The bottom third of the canvas is awash with dark royal blue, teal, emerald, and orange. The painting is displayed in black wooden frame and is signed and dated verso and to the lower right corner.

Born in New York, Zagon received her undergraduate degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where she studied with artists Sam Gilliam, Salvatore Scarpitta, and Robert Moskowitz. She received her graduate degree from Syracuse University, where she studied with Friedel Dzubas and Milton Resnick.
