$2,200.00
A pair of table lamps designed by German artist Marianna Von Allesch (1886-1972) for Carola Ceramics. Each lamp is marked with a Carola Ceramics Marianna Von Allesch design sticker. The cords of the lamps are a clear plastic.
Marianna Von Allesch attended the Royal Academy of Arts with a focus on painting and textile arts. Following graduation from university, she began to explore her interest in glass blowing and pottery. In 1928, she divorced her husband and moved from Germany to the United States. While in America, she began creating her best known works: large ceramic sculptures that would be wired into table lamps.
