A 1974 zincograph print after a work by the German artist Otmar Alt (born 1940). This colorful work has a bright orange background punctuated by a biomorphic shapes accented with different patterns and designs. Marked "Otman Alt 74" to the lower right, the print is displayed in a black frame and a white mat.
Otmar Alt is known for his childlike style, inspired by artists Joan Miro and Paul Klee. Alt studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and worked in Berlin for many years as a set designer. His work is in the collections of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, and the Deutsches Freimaurer Museum.
