A 1993 lithograph and collage titled Sea Level by the American artist Richard Kalina (born 1946). The work is bisected with a pink and a blue section. Newspaper script is layered in the background with squiggle shapes in various colors collaged on the surface. Signed and dated lower right, marked “E.P. 1/2” for Exhibition Proof, and titled lower left, this work is unframed.
Richard Kalina received his Bachelor of Arts from University of Pennsylvania in 1966. Kalina received a Visual Arts Fellowship from The National Endowment for the Arts from 1991-92. He is also known to be a contributing editor for Art in America and works as a Professor of Art at Fordham University in New York.
