A 1958 oil on canvas painting by the American-Spanish artist Rinaldo Paluzzi (1927-2013). Titled Ochres and Brown, this mid-century work depicts a geometric cityscape in yellow, brown, and black under a white sky. Signed, titled, and dated verso, the painting is displayed in a wooden frame with a gold tone edge.
After studying at the John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Paluzzi went on to study at the Accademia de Belle Arti in Rome. His works are included in the permanent collections of the Hirshhorn, the Carnegie Museum, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and more.
