Robert Eagerton “Sandra” Abstract Lithograph

An abstract lithograph by American artist Robert Eagerton (born 1940). Titled Sandra, this print depicts the profile of a woman on the left and on the right is a square with overlapping rectangles and a circle with patterns of black, white and pink. The work sits in a wooden gold tone frame and white mat.

Born in South Carolina in 1940, Eagerton received his BFA from the Atlanta College of Art in Atlanta, Georgia in painting and printmaking with additional studies in Vienna, France, Austria and graduate studies at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in printmaking. He opened Transfigurations Press in Sarasota, Florida in the 60s with several others and taught at Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis from 1965 to 2005. He is Professor Emeritus of the Herron School of Art and Design and Honorary Professor at Hunan Normal University in Changsha, China.
