Walter Stomps 1982 Signed Acrylic on Paper Painting

A 1982 acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Walter Stomps (1929-2020). This abstract painting consists of red, yellow, and turquoise triangles against a yellow background with orange, purple, and blue squares. The piece is signed and dated in the lower right corner and remains unframed. 

Walter Stomps, Jr. was a modernist artist who explored the connectivity through music and art in his work. He rejected the rigid nature of realism, instead using color, shape, and rhythmic brushstrokes to create abstraction.
