An artist's proof serigraph by the Chinese artist Zhou Ling (born 1941). Titled Quiet Moment, the print depicts a woman with a pink flower in her hair sitting in the midst of a vibrant tropical environment. Parrots and a cockatoo perch around the woman in this colorful print. Signed to the lower right, the serigraph is marked "AP" to the lower left.
Born in Tian Jinn, China, Zhou Ling studied at the Central Institute of Nationalities in Beijing where she studied traditional Chinese painting. Inspired by Western Modern art movements like Cubism, she became a leading figure in the Chinese avant-garde movement known as the Yunnan School of Art.
