A 1961 ink drawing by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled Sea Grape, this work depicts an abstracted landscape filled with trees and foliage sketched in thin black outlines set against a white background. Signed to the lower right and titled and dated to the lower left, the drawing is displayed in a black metal frame and a white mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
