Marcel Mouly Signed Limited Edition Lithograph of a Still Life

A limited edition lithograph by the French artist Marcel Mouly (1918-2008). This work depicts an abstract still life with table set with wine bottles, a seltzer bottle, wine glasses, and a bowl of fruit. Signed to the lower right, the print is numbered 23/300 to the lower left and is displayed in a gold tone wooden frame and a cream and gold tone double mat.

Marcel Mouly took night classes at French Academies while serving in the Second World War. After the war, he rented Jacques Lipchitz's studio and learned Cubist techniques from the artist. He exhibited alongside of and befriended fellow artists include Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Marc Chagall.
