A 1987 oil on canvas painting by the American artist Laurie Zagon. Titled Truth & Love, this painting depicts an ethereal abstract wave of deep red and fuchsia curling around the bottom of the work and melting into bright pale pinks and greens. The piece is displayed in a black wooden frame and is signed titled, and dated verso as well as signed in the bottom right corner. 

Born in New York, Zagon received her undergraduate degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where she studied with artists Sam Gilliam, Salvatore Scarpitta, and Robert Moskowitz. She received her graduate degree from Syracuse University, where she studied with Friedel Dzubas and Milton Resnick.

36.5” W x 48.75” H x 1.75” D (frame).

Condition notes:

Wear to frame. Some discoloration and scuffs to edges of canvas. Craquelure present.
