A oil on canvas painting by the American artist Robert C. Brisley (1927-2018). Titled Tent Meeting, this abstract work has a Cubist style composition that depicts a group of nude female figures reclining on pillows and painted in orange, green, and yellow. Signed to the lower left, the painting is titled verso and is displayed in a white wooden frame.
Born in Los Angeles, Brisley studied at the California College and Arts and Crafts, the Dale Nichols School of Art, and the Cleveland Institute of Art. while at the Dale Nichols School he studied under Hal Empie and Al Romo. His works were at one point part of the collections of the Chicago Institute of Art, the Museum of Art in Columbis, Ohio, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
