A 1975 abstract ink drawing by American artist Russell Forester (1920-2002). This piece is composed of an array of small boxes that form an abstract pattern. Held in a white frame, the drawing is signed and dated to the lower edge.
Born and raised in La Jolla, CA, Russell Forrester relocated to study under Mies van der Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He returned to California to open an modernist architecture practice, designing homes and business in the San Diego area.
